Hey guys, just wanted to make a quick video to bring you up to date on the whole Amazon Merch shutdown for the month of December. For anyone who's not up to date, back on December 5, 2017 Amazon stopped the ability of users to upload new shirts as well as edit existing shirts. They also began removing shirts from Amazon search results. They initially told us they would revisit the situation December 12. December 12, came and went, however on December 14, 2017 we got this message from Amazon... "Starting today, we will begin both enabling accounts for publishing and restoring product search discoverability on a rolling basis through year end. Your publishing status can be verified by viewing your daily publishing limit as displayed on the Dashboard and Manage pages." So it seems as if Amazon is going to be giving people back the ability to publish in "waves" . I imagine it will start with the largest sellers on the highest tiers and trickle down to the rest of us in the same fasion that Long Sleeve tees did. That said I'm honestly very curious if anyone has actually been turned back on. I've talked to a few big sellers who are still not back on. I know many people are very annoyed by this shutdown and I imagine Amazon has been getting a lot of flack for it and while it's their own platform and they can do what they want, I'm sure they don't like pissing people off. I think saying were bringing you back starting today in a rolling fasion is an easy way to quiet the complainers while not necessarily really turning people back on, at least not in large numbers. I'll keep you guys updated on my progress and when I'm allowed to start uploading again. That said I'm not holding my breath. I expect to not be able to upload again until after the New Year, maybe at the earliest a day or two after Christmas as at that point the Holiday rush has died down. Let's help each other out. When your uploading abilities are restored would greatly appreciate it if you would come back to this video, tell us when you went live again as well as what tier your on. Thanks for watching and I'll catch you on the next video.
