How to Retire at 40 Years-Old Introducing the Concept of FIRE Financial Independence Retiring Early

Hey guys, we're doing something a little bit different today, we're talking personal finance and more specifically talking about FI or FIRE which stands for Financial Independence Retiring Early. The concept of FIRE is essentially cutting your expenses, raising your income, and trying to save as much money as possible so you can put that into investments which earn passive income be it real estate, rental properties. Once your passive income exceeds your expenses you can then theoretically retire if you want to. I know a lot of people probably think you need to win the lottery or get an inheritance or be a Doctor making 300K per year to retire early but that couldn't be further from the truth. Check out some of the threads in the R/FIRE R/LEANFIRE R/Financialindependence subreddits and you'll see stories of people through smart budgeting and investing were able to retire at about 40 years old with jobs making about $60,000 per year. This is a lifestyle that greatly appeals to me. I'm naturally frugal so it's not too hard, I enjoy investing and learning about investing, but best of all I value leisure time and time with family. I find it very depressing that many of us form our identities around our job or career. I find it very depressing that most of us will spend more time at work and commuting to work than we'll spend with our families or friends or doing hobbies. For me personally I'd much rather retire 5 or 10 years early and enjoy my life, that would give me much more satisfaction than driving a fancy car. Anyhow, let me know if this is a type of content you guys are interested in and would like to hear more about. Also, are any of you guys into the concept of FIRE or FI or minimalism, tell me about it in the comments section below..
