How to Mute Your YouTube Videos on Autoplay for postings?

If you’re trying to make a video automatically play when someone visits your website, you probably have two questions:

How do I make a YouTube video automatically play as soon as someone visits my website? And,
Once the YouTube video automatically plays, how do I mute the sound so it’s not intrusive?

This feature is known as YouTube autoplay. To automatically play your YouTube videos on your website, open the YouTube video you

would like to add to your website and follow these steps:

Beneath the video, click on SHARE
Then click on EMBED.
Select your desired settings and then click on COPY.
Paste the embed code in the area of your website that you would like the video to appear.
Your embed code will look similar to this (your settings may vary from mine):

```
You’ll then need to add the autoplay shortcode to your video’s embed code.
The autoplay shortcode is: &autoplay=1
Your embed code will look similar to this (your settings may vary from mine):

```
Save your video.
Refresh your browser and your video will play automatically now.

If your video has sound, you’ll want to consider muting it so it’s not intrusive to your visitors.

To automatically mute YouTube videos, follow these steps:

Go back to the video on your website.
You’ll need to add the mute shortcode to your video’s embed code.
The YouTube mute shortcode is: &mute=1
Your embed code will look similar to this (your settings may vary from mine):

Save your video.
Refresh your browser and your YouTube video will be muted automatically now when it plays.

And, that’s it! You’re all done and your YouTube video is now playing automatically without sound on your website!
