Music is never more integral to a story than in a musical. The year was 1953. The movie was Calamity Jane. The song was sung by the leading lady, the beautiful and talented Doris Day. Calamity was singing of her love for Wild Bill Hickok. The song was titled Secret Love and spoke of her not keeping her feelings to herself anymore.
