For some, a quick crack of the fingers is a satisfying little pastime. For others, it is extremely uncomfortable and should never be done in public, or indeed in private.
Depending on which camp you belong to, Dona-Maria Mbassat's body cracking efforts represent the absolute peak of satisfaction/discomfort.
Dona-Maria from Morganville, New Jersey, US shared a video of herself on TikTok, cracking her 'entire body' - it has been viewed more than 15 million times.
Explaining the inspiration behind the cracking clip, she said: "I was home on a Saturday night and out of nowhere I just got the urge to crack my entire body and record it.
"I was just bored and thought it'd be funny to record my whole process of how I crack all of my bones and I didn't expect anybody to see it even after posting it cause I thought it was stupid."
But while you may have found the video a painful experience, fear not, Dona-Maria was not hurt at all in the making of the viral vid.
She said: "It wasn't and isn't painful at all.
"I do it everyday multiple times throughout the day actually and have been doing it for a while - it feels really good actually and I will continue to do it."
