Hey guys, a topic I've seen many people curious about is whether it's worthwhile to run paid traffic ie Facebook Ads, Adwords, etc to their Amazon Merch shirts. While I've tried this in the past I havn't found it to be effective for a couple reasons. First, the commissions I'm making off shirt sales isn't really enough to pay for ads. Even with ads converting well, there's just not enough profit to pay for the ads and still leave some room for profit. The other reason I don't like running paid traffic to Amazon Merch shirts is because we have no way of tracking whether that traffic is converting. For example, if you had your own Shopify store you could put in an Adwords tracking code or Facebook Pixel and tell exactly how much your spending on ads and how much that's bringing you in sales. Because Amazon Merch is a third party platform to my knowledge there's no way we can track sales so your really just advertising blindly. There is one exception to this rule. If your shirts are in a niche where you could create a landing page and build an e-mail list around that niche while promoting shirts it may be worthwhile, however in most circumstances I would say it's not worthwhile to run paid traffic to Amazon Merch. What's your thoughts? Have you had success running Facebook ads or Adwords to your Amazon Merch shirts? Tell me about it in the comments section below...
